• ARTIGLIO PRIZE AWARDED TO MICOPERI

    “ARTIGLIO PRIZE” AWARDED TO MICOPERI FOR THE APPLICATION OF INNOVATIVE ITALIAN TECHNOLOGY, THEIR DEDICATION AND EMPLOYMENT OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES

    Yesterday the international prize “Artiglio” was awarded to Micoperi‘ s m.d., Silvio Bartolotti and to the Prefect Franco Gabrielli (for quite a long time chief of the Civil Protection  for  the Costa Concordia wreck removal project.  The prize, at its 8th edition,  focuses on marine and environmental engineering and was delivered at the Marine Museum “Alberto Gianni” in Viareggio. 
    The prize was awarded to Micoperi for the brilliant success attained with the refloating of the Costa Concordia wreck within the estimated time, making use of the best innovative Italian technology  and employing highly qualified employees. An award was awarded to Prefect Franco Gabrielli, too, after he was for a significant period  the chief of Civil Protection  during the Costa Concordia wreck removal project.  Sergio Ortelli, Giglio Island mayor, also attended the ceremony.
    The award is sponsored by the “Artiglio Europa Foundation”, its chairman is Francesco Sodini. The award is finalized to promote and develop science, technique and sport in the underwater world. In memory of the ship “Artiglio”, they aim to honour the values of the great European maritime tradition. 

    The evening before, Silvio Bartolotti, Micoperi’s m.d., was in Rome where he was invited by “Compagnia delle Opere” and  gave a lecture on “Work together in everybody’s interest “ before 300 businessmen.
